I am privileged to recommend Karen as an advocate for anyone who is in need of her help. She has helped me manage my brother who has many challenges in his life with care and professionalism. I live in California and so in addition to her knowledge, contacts, guidance, and compassion, I needed someone to help him move his residence, go to the doctor and dentist, admit and visit him in the hospital, check on his condition on a regular basis and many more issues that required boots on the ground. It would have been impossible for me to do all that was needed from so far away. I am grateful for her help, knowing he is receiving the best care in a truly difficult situation. Karen transformed the care situation for our intractable, yet wonderful, 100 year-old grandmother. Faced with the impossible task of providing assistance to someone resolutely resistant to anything resembling a solution, Karen was patient, persistent, insistent, and most of all, present. Through deep collaboration with Karen, our family was able to convince our grandma that her current situation--living alone, at home, following a cancer treatment, through the tail end of the pandemic--was untenable. With Karen's assistance, we coordinated medical care, hired caregivers (we went through dozens, as grandma deemed them inappropriate and hounded them out of her home), and ultimately created a stable, effective, and ongoing in-home care plan.

Karen has profound reserves of empathy and endurance, and while both were consistently put to Herculean tests in her dealings with our grandmother, she remained determined, and she triumphed. She helped all of us feel on far safer ground.

Karen is a delight, a consummate professional, and, for our family, something of a shaman. I would recommend her, without reservation, to anyone looking for help caring for an aging friend or relative.
