Forever is Composed of Nows
Hi Friends!
Many of you know I like to drop into your inbox at the beginning and middle of the month. I enjoy offering a thought and am always happy to hear when something I’ve shared resonates with you.
This month has found me at a pace so busy I wondered when I would find time to write.
Have you ever noticed how often we say, or hear others say, ‘I don’t have time’ as we rush through our days?
I heard something recently that really landed for me: “I have time to do everything important to me. The task at hand contracts or expands to fill the available time.”
The truth is, there is always enough time — it’s how we manage it. Realistically, the difference between 'enough' and 'not enough' depends on how we choose to manage our time. Ever notice how that project that sat for days (months, weeks) all of a sudden gets our attention when there is something at stake (like company coming over and rushing to clean up piles of laundry on the couch)?
We each experience our ‘Nows’ differently. How we perceive the Now — from a space of abundance or scarcity — is unique to each of us. I value the idea that there is ‘always enough’ as it helps shift from the stress and anxiety that can be caused when we operate from a scarcity mindset.
Please note: I write with the intention of affirming a collective experience. I acknowledge those who are in the midst of challenging life phases that create a sense of scarcity or ‘not-enoughness.’ Your experience is real. I hope my message offers a glimmer of what’s possible from a different paradigm.
I am intentional to manage my time in a way that allows me to be in touch through these notes twice a month. What would managing your time differently enable you to do today?
